This hospital department and research facility were tremendous for my dad in his late years when they treated Mesothelioma, an asbestos triggered form of lung cancer. Their unique ability to treat his illness and their refreshingly positive attitude made a real difference .

I'm doing the great north run in fancy dress (see left) with an obvious 'Barts' reference. I'll be wearing a vinyl mask which I'm finding difficult to breath in stood still, so the run should be interesting!
