Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - AGAIN!
As many of you know, I have been involved with St Luke's Hospice for many years, in the past as a volunteer and always by helping to raise funds. I have been overwhelmed by the support that I have received from friends during this time but I make no apology for asking for that help and support again now.
St. Luke's Hospice, like all hospices around the country, relies on charitable contributions to keep going. They need about 80% of their budget to come from donations in order to continue to provide the much needed specialist and palliative care they provide to members of the community suffering with a life shortening illness.
Every year I take part in the St. Luke's sponsored walk. This year we will be walking from Fort William to Inverness along the Great Glen. A distance of about 77 miles.
As always I shall be paying my own costs so that all the money I raise will be going to support the work of St.Luke's.
You may be concerned that St Luke's is not your local Hospice? Don't worry. You can rest assured that while you are sponsoring me, someone else, not from your area, is probably sponsoring an event for your local hospice. It's how it works!
This does not get any easier for me as the years go on and I know it isn't easy for some people to give at the moment but please think what a difference your donation, however small, can make to a persons life. It really will help.
Please take time to visit the St. Luke's Hospice web site and read about the work that is done. You can also follow the LINK and read details of the walk that we shall be undertaking.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
