I am currently on a 16 week training programme to get me in to shape for the Great Manchester Run 2009, i hear some of you saying " but Stew you are allready a shape and i like you just the way you are.... ROUND!!" 

I have been trying to find the inner strength/ motivation to get up and do something like this since 2006 and having thought about who i will be raising money for,  The Marina Dalglish Appeal was set up as you may or may not know when Marina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2003. This had a massive effect  not only on herself but on her family  aswell.

Marina commented on this with the following ..

"It was one of the most difficult and challenging times of our lives. With the help of the wonderful team of doctors, nurses, oncologists and carers I was able to fight this dreadful disease. Without their skill, dedication, encouragement, professionalism, sense of humour, love and support, I could not have come through my cancer journey.

Kenny and I were so grateful and impressed for their help, concern and understanding that we vowed that when I was up and running again we would try and repay a little of what they had done for us!"

Having allready raised £1.5 million for a new Oncology Centre in Liverpool a new target has been set, please give as much as you can spare for this worthwhile cause.
