We're a team of staff, fundraisers and relatives of patients at St George's Hospital in Tooting.  We would all like to raise as much as possible to support the work of St George's Hospital Charity.

 

Read on to find out what the money we raise will be spent on...

With the aim of suplementing (not substituting) core funding to the Hospital by improving the environment and services at St George's, the Charity is currently funding projects that include the building of a new children's garden, new receptions for two of the maternity wards, establishing a paediatric assessment unit in A&E and art and relaxation therapy for our elderly patients.

 

Given that this is a ladies event, we wanted to support something that will be of benefit to women in particular (but not exclusively). So, our money will go towards a piece of artwork for one of the counselling rooms in the new state-of-the-art breast diagnostic unit, due to open at St George's this Autumn. It's here that patients learn about their diagnosis, so the environment needs to be conducive.
