I am pleased to invite you to become involved in a new and unique fundraising event which is taking place in Peterborough this August in aid of Cancer Research UK and the Peterborough Special Care Unit at Peterborough District Hospital.

32 individuals will be coming together on the August bank holiday weekend at Bushfields Sports Centre and will be trying to set a new 30 hour World Record for the Longest continuous Outdoor Field Hockey match. The event is being run alongside a field hockey festival at the same venue and in all we hope to raise over £10,000 for our chosen charities.

There are a variety of ways you can support our cause with varying levels of commitment in terms of cost and with various sizeable returns in terms of advertising and potential exposure for your company.

Donate a Prize to our Raffle

We are running an a raffle through our dedicated website and at the event, any company donating a prize will get a dedicated thank you page on our website which can be then branded with your company logo and content of your choice. Tickets will be sold both locally and online from the middle of July.

Sponsor a Players Shirt - £200

Each of the 32 playing shirts being worn in the World Record attempt can be sponsored by your company. In return you will have the logo put on the shirt which will be worn for the full length of the event and which will appear in all the photographs taken by the press. You will also get a dedicated page on our website, a half page full colour advert in our Event Handbook and space to hang a banner at the Venue for the entire weekend.

Make a Donation through JustGiving

If you would like support our cause you can always make a donation to our JustGiving page:

Help make a Difference

This is the first of many events we hope to run here both in Peterborough and other locations around the country raising stick loads of money for important UK and International charities. 1 in 3 people are affected by Cancer at some point in their lifetime. If we can get 1 in 3 companies that receive this letter to make a donation or sponsor a players shirt it will help us to help Cancer Research UK make a difference.

For more information about the event and the sponsoring opportunities above please visit our dedicated website: www.stickforlife.co.uk or email admin@ne14hockey.com with any queries.

Thank you for taking your time to read this letter, everyone involved with StickforLife 2010 appreciates it.

Kind Regards,

The StickforLife Team
