'A remarkable charity caring for remarkable people' Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) is a national charity, providing high quality, nursing care and rehabilitation for disabled ex-Service personnel in an environment they can think of as their home.

Story

After a fantastic fundraising event last February (yes where has the time gone?) whereby our combined efforts raised a magnificent £1400. Stick It On is dedicating another evening to raise money for the Queen Alexandra Hospital (http://www.qahh.org.uk/) who do an amazing job caring for their residence. This is of course is where our friend Stu is still getting full time care.

Fundraising is a vital part of the QAHH as it costs over £1,300 a week to provide care to just one of their residents.

Therefore, it would be fantastic if we could make a small but still significant contribution in acknowledgement for of their great work and a way of saying thank you for looking after Stu.

Additionally, It will be a good excuse to get everyone together again to have a catch up over a few drinks and stack some boxes on the dancefloor.

Here are the ways to donate

1. You can donate a mimimum of £5 via this fundraising page. This will also act as a guestlist to the Stick It On event.  Therefore, please leave your full name (i.e John Smith rather than John) so we can tick you off the list when you come down to the event. You will also be given the chance to print a receipt of your donation which we recommend you do and bring down with you on the night.

2. If you can't make the event but still would like to contribute then please leave a donation here

3. Pay on the door.

Tickets will be a minimum of a £5 donation and if we manage to sell all the tickets we should be able to raise £1000+.  The money raised on the night will go directly to Stu  (one idea is to go towards his speech therapy).

I would be really grateful if you can invite your friends and people who might have met Stu, with the hope that we can all get together, share stories, raise a glass or two to celebrate a friend.

It also wouldn't be a Stick It On event without our budding Fatboy Slims/Tony Blackburn's (delete where applicable) getting behind the ol' ones and twos to rock the dancefloor. If you fancy getting involved then click this link and fill out the online form http://www.stickiton.org.uk/stickymikesfrogbar/

If you need more information or would like to offer your services in anyway please drop me a line rob@stickiton.co.uk or give me a call on 07931 565 361.

Lets make this another great night.

cheers
