Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running my 6th marathon this year in memory of my eldest son, Riley. He was a tower of strength and used all that god gave him to inspire others until we lost him nearly 5 years ago. Riley had an undiagnosed connective tissue disorder that would have left any of us adults an absolute mess but he smiled, laughed and lived for every moment. Riley was the best thing that has ever happened to our family and leaves a legacy of care, love and togetherness that we are blessed to have. Riley was in hospital in 2006 with severe lung problems and whilst we were watching the news a piece came up on the London marathon, he turned to me and said "Can you do that Daddy?"...and here we are. I still have memories of him asking to come "training" with me. This consisted of him having his chest drain hanging off of his wheelchair whilst we ran around the hospital! Every evening after I came back from training he would ask for my pedometer and shake it to make the distance I had ran seem longer hahaha! Riley was waiting at the finish line for me in 2007 and this is the proudest moment of my life. Riley passed away only days later and the world misses a true hero and me and his mum, Hayley and the rest of our families miss a wonderful boy. We would have him and lose him a million times because believe me, the heartache of losing him will never come close to the wonder of having him for even a second. Riley Gager, you were a king. Thank you for making me want to be something and I am still that today...Riley's Dad!

I would also, just like to say that Riley's brother Tate is a pillar of strength and I for one know that Riley would be so proud of him. Thank you Tate, you are one cracking little kid, what a blessing!

Please donate on this page as all funds go to a charity, KIDS, that helps disabled children to have more inclusive lives...oh and also,w e have raised over £12,000 in the last 5 years, lets keep going (yet another legacy!)
