Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It's been a few years since my last half marathon and about 25 years since my one and only full marathon! I'm not setting any time targets other than to say if I could do it in under 2 hours I would be delighted. This run is just 6 days before a rather large birthday, OK I'll be 60, don't rub it in!

The Wolverhampton to Birmingham Half Marathon is great because the route is made up entirely of canal towpaths, it's a bit rough in places but I cycled it recently just to check it out and it was great on a sunny Saturday morning and it took me a leisurely one hour and and ten minutes to do. I will admit I got off the bike half way through the Coseley tunnel!

I will be running with former Business Link working colleague Gail smith, who cajoled me into doing this mad venture, but I will get my own back when I cross the line!
