POST SWIM UPDATE:

big dave: 5hours 13mins (course completed)
stuart: 4hours 15mins (forced retirement)

unfortunately the day allocated to us for the swim had the strongest currents of the year. my pace was not sufficiently fast enough to get through the current and make it to the moroccan coast and i was forced out of the water prior to being swept into the mediterranean. i'm glad to say that at least dave was successful.
