Walking home after a long work day in East London I couldn't believe my luck when I picked up a £5 note off the street. I wanted to give it to one of the people I see living on the streets every morning and evening on my daily walk to the station. The problem with this was I didn't know who to give the money too - they all need the help - no matter how small the amount.
I then remembered a colleague recommending St Luke's centre - a local charity that helps supports the local community with simple things like a meal, warmth, people to talk to and much more. From that day I made the promise that every painting I sold I would donate £5 to this well deserved charity as a way of saying say thank you to the people who bought my art work.
