I will be running the ING New York City Marathon on the 7th November this year, albeit with a bit of a difference! My group programme director suggested, over too much red wine, that he thought it'd be a good idea and a good gimmick, if I ran an extra mile, so we could call the whole challenge "going the extra mile" for St. Michael's. I agreed, so I'll be running 27.3 miles, whereas everybody else, i.e all the sane ones, will be doing a standard marathon. All the money I raise will go to aid the fabulous work that St. Michael's Hospice does for its patients and their families. I have had the pleasure of meeting many members of staff and volunteers since joining Stray FM and when they asked if me if I'd like to run the New York Marathon to raise money for them, I said "yes" immediately! Please donate whatever you feel you can afford - I will be eternally grateful.
