Bolga Children Crisis Appeal

Right now child traffickers are swarming the streets of Bolgatanga. It is the start of the school holidays and rumours of the riches to be made in the South abound. School children are boarding the buses of these traffickers, believing they will travel South to Kumasi for just a few weeks; to earn their money for next year's school fees, uniforms and text books.
Few make it back home.

LIFE IN KUMASI
"We met many women and children from the Upper Eastern Region and all were living in the most abject poverty.... most wish they'd never left home."

With emergency funds we can stop the child traffickers. By making children aware of what lies waiting for them in the South and by offering to pay the expenses of their schooling, many children have refused to go with the traffickers and are remaining at home with their families. Currently we simply do not have the funds to offer this to the 100's of children who are now arriving in Bolga daily from all over the region to travel South. It costs £25 to send a child to school for a year, £60 including school dinners. Do you have £1 to spare? What are you waiting for?
