" I did the London Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday October 12th.It was a beautiful autumn sunny day and the atmosphere was brilliant. Dad was on the line hopping in his moon boot cheering me on. The scenery was fantastic and I really enjoyed it coming home in 2hours and 16 minutes. Its the 40th anniversary of Coeliac Uk who asked us to join in and as they have helped Dad over the last 17 years with his condition we couldn't say no! Thanks for visiting, any small bit you can give will be really appreciated and please spread the word to help us raise £700" Huge thank you. Molly

" Molly did it with out me. It was tough standing on the start line barrier looking over at all the runners and not being able to run. But she did us proud and came home in a good time and picked up her medal and banana. Well done Mols.

I did the Coast to Coast cycle ride from Workington to Sunderland just to get warmed up for the half marathon, this is a 140 miles from west to east coast. We didn't get an indian summer in fact we got two and a half days of torrential rain, floods, roads washed away, head winds of such proportions we could hardly ride forward into them in the lowest gears on the bike but we dipped our toes in the Irish and North Seas with photos to show for it. Stuart Webster from (Bakewell) and Jonny Stokes(Harrogate) who came with me are now recovering slowly from their efforts over the weekend of 5-7th of September. No stamina these youths.

As of Friday 3rd October I fell and fractured my ankle/leg so now I am in a caste! I need a wheel chair to get round now. Tears, pain, anger, frustration to mention a few words and emotions it was  very hard to be in Hyde Park on Sunday but I enjoyed the beautiful weather and seeing Molly pound home in a good time and still smiling and wanting to do it again next year. Zillions of thanks to all who sponsered us and for messages of support.

Many, many thanks for your help and any small donation" Mark
