Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing specialist, palliative care and support to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and ultimately end of life care.

Story

Lynne and Stephen are couple number 5 in Strictly Learn to Dance, raising money for St Luke's Hospice.

Steve has never danced before but had rave reviews for his performance in Bugsy Malone when he was about 12 so we have high hopes for his performance skills ! He is always the first to wear fancy dress and is already planning his finale hair colour.

Lynne can dance most things from ballet to clogging, but has age weight and injuries stacked up, and is over 30 years older than Steve !She is only worried that her shoes will hurt !

They are looking for your support in the grande finale at Nantwich Civic Hall on Sunday May 13th, as audience applause counts towards the voting ! If you would like to see them make fools of themselves, make sure you reserve tickets early as you are in for a fantastic night of glamour and sparkle .... and that's just from Steve...

Meanwhile please help them raise £600 by donating through this page or through your mobile phone company by

texting STRI55 £5 to 70070.

You can also donate to either of us in person and many thanks to those who have already including colleague Angela Wood, folk music friends Julie Bickerton, L Norton, Yvonne Thorley, and distant Irish relatives Linda Foster and Vic Foster.

St Luke's Hospice is a non-profit making organisation, funded by voluntary contributions and the local Primary Care Trust.  They offer treatment, care, advice and support to many seriously ill people and their families every year.

Macmillan nurses are based at the hospice and Lynne's late Mum and her partner Ernie have both benefited hugely from the hospice resources, as well as several friends.
