Great North Run · 21 September 2007

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

A Stroke of Luck is what we will need to complete this run in approximately 2 hours but that is what we are aiming to do  !

Please dig deep & sponsor us on-line  We would like to raise some money for The Stroke Association who aim to reduce the incidence of stroke through research & health education...........

Every year, an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Anyone can have a stroke, it is the third most common cause of death in the UK. It is the single most common cause of severe disability. It could happen to you, or someone you care for........ It did to us when Mum had a stroke at 54, leaving her severely disabled for the past 15 years.

Please help us to raise money for The Stroke Association by sponsoring us now!  Many thanks for your support

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
