Story
I have been selected as one of the 12 riders that will take part in the St Patrick’s Derby at The Cheltenham Festival, in aid of Cancer Research UK. The Flat race, over one mile and five furlongs, takes place on Thursday, March 15, run as the seventh race of the day at 5.15pm.
Cancer Research UK is a Charity that is very close to home for me. My Nan passed away 12 months ago after her battle with cancer, My Mum was diagnoised with cancer 1 year ago and is currently still under treatment and, Patricia Caldwell, Racehorse Trainer and very close friend also passed away just over 6 months ago after a fight against this horrible disease.
Patricia was my inspiration and tought me everything I know about Racing.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE donate to this worthy cause and help make a difference!!
I have set out to raise a minimum of £5000.00 for Cancer Research and have the honour of being able to fulfil a lifetime ambition of riding in a race at Cheltenham Racecourse.
