BackCare is UK’s national charity for back and neck pain since 1968. Back pain doesn’t kill, it tortures – destroying lives and livelihoods. It accounts for half of all chronic pain and is the leading cause of sickness absence from work. Help us stop back pain from destroying someone’s life today!

Story

SPONSOR ME AND WIN A DAY AT THE RACES OR A NIGHT IN MADRID!

I have been running marathons for a few years now, and I thought it was time to try and raise some money for charity as I do so this year in the London Marathon. I have chosen a charity which I hope will be close, if not to your heart, then to your back! Friends and relatives of mine have been incapacitated by back pain for weeks and months at a time. Back pain can be at the least debilitating and at worst totally disabling. Think of it the next time you get up to stretch from your computer or wake from another restless night in a painful bed!

Don't forget to try and guess my finishing time when you sponsor me! The sponsor who best guesses my finishing time, to the nearest second, can chose from a night in Madrid at the 5 star Hotel Occidental Miguel Angel & Urban Spa*, or tickets for two to the Motorbike Grand Prix at Silverstone. The next closest Sponsor will win the remaining prize!** These have been kindly donated by Dorna and Occidental Hotels and Resorts. Note that you can only guess my time before 25th April.

I am seeking your moral support, and your financial support for Back Care, in order to help encourage me along the road to finish another marathon, so every message and penny helps, and your donation will help Back Care to do more to help others help themselves to avoid pain.

**In the event of a tie, the first person to have sponsored me wins, and if there is still a tie, names will be drawn from a hat.
