Story
Zara and I are very blessed to have twins who, unlike their father, arrived early! Ruairi and Ciara spent their first 8 weeks of life at the Neonatal Unit at St George's hospital, Tooting. The continuous care, pride and dedication of the neonatal staff was an inspiration and something Zara and I will never forget. Not only were Ruairi and Ciara offered a wonderful start in life, two worried and terrified parents were offered support and encouragement to be at the centre of their babies care while in hospital.
Founded in 2009, the Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity raises money for the vital equipment that keeps the smallest and sickest babies alive. Working with Neonatal Units around the country, the charity provides a route for parents to repay a debt of gratitude to the NNU that treated their child or to ensure a child’s short life is commemorated in a positive and tangible way. The charity also raises awareness of the incredible job that Neonatal units & staff do every single day.
