I was 3 sheets to the wind when my mate Ben cajoled me into running this race. That said, I've no qualms as since the gauntlet was thrown down, I’ve got stuck into it and now I'm running at 2 stone lighter and well up for knocking the smile off Ben's face when I beat his time, even though I’ve 7 years on him....!
On the other hand, I can't think of a better cause. Ben's daughter, Annabelle has Cerebral Palsy and is the happiest kid in the world and seemingly oblivious that she is any different to those around her. Leeds Mencap have given massive support to Annabelle and her family from when she was first born nearly 4 years ago.
So, please dig deep in these credit crunching times. Just be glad it's me running and not you...!
