While approaching 40 I thought a challenge to mark a milestone would be appropriate. A trek to Everest Base Camp seemed a great way to challenge myself but more importantly to raise money for a deserving cause. WIPE AWAY THOSE TEARS is the charity I will be supporting and hope that me challenging myself will encourage you to help them.

WIPE AWAY THOSE TEARS has no cures to offer and all too often some of our wishes will end in sadness, but during desperate times when there seems to be no hope, we aim to WIPE AWAY THOSE TEARS and to bring a sparkle into needy children's lives no matter how big or small. A wish granted brings a time of magic and joy and the courage that these very special children show should inspire us all.  Our aim is to help special deserving children in our local area.

The Everest Base Camp trek is arguably the most famous trekking route in the world, and  is a trek for the lover of high places and those wanting to push themselves to the limit. It is a tough challenge and not to be taken lightly. On the Everest Base camp trek, we reach the height of 18500ft (5545 metres). If you have ever longed to set eyes on our highest mountain, then the view from Everest base camp will stay with you forever. For more information go to  www.safejourneys.co.uk

Many thanks, Stuart.
