Blue Cross - Royal Parks Half Marathon · 12 October 2008 ·

TheSite.org is run by the UK’s first ‘virtual charity’, YouthNet. We rely entirely on the generous support of organisations and individuals to keep TheSite.org full of brilliant, up-to-date content and to provide expert answers on askTheSite. Your donation will help us continue to be the best ‘rough guide to life’ for young people, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Story

On October 12th 2008 I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon (thats 13.1 MILES for the mathematically challenged) with a goal of raising £500 towards YouthNet's 'askTheSite'.

YouthNet launched in 1995 as the first exclusively online charity, founded by Martyn Lewis CBE who remains the Chairman to date.

Through askTheSite, hosted on www.TheSite.org, YouthNet's website for 18-24 year olds, young people can ask a question confidentially and anonymously on a range of personal issues facing them every day - from money, careers, relationships, self harm, drink and drugs they receive a personalised response from an expert.

There is an archive of over 1,000 previously asked and answered questions, available 24/7 enabling young people to see what others in similar situations are asking and more importantly what advice they received.

Please help encourage and raise awareness of this amazing charity by sponsoring me to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon and achieving my fundraising goal !!

Thanks - Stuart
