I am now officially part of the 'Outlaws' team that will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge on 13th August 2011.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. The Peaks are:
- Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
- Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
- Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)
We'll be making an early start, so the challenge will go something like this:
| 6am | Start Ben Nevis. |
| 11am | Finish Ben Nevis and start drive to Scafell Pike (six hour drive). |
| 5pm | Arrive and start climbing Scafell Pike |
| 10pm | Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to Snowdon (four hour drive). |
| 2am | Arrive and start climbing Snowdon |
| 6am |
Finish Snowdon, and complete challenge. |
As you can see, it's going to be a long day!
I've set a fundraising target of £250, but it would be great to exceed this. Any donations you make will be greatly appreciated (don't forget Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer)
Cheers,
Andy
