Hospice Of St Francis - Walk with the Stars · 21 June 2008 ·

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We decided to participate in the Half Marathon to raise money for the hospice in memory of Jill Van Rhee (Sue's mother-in-law) who lost her battle with breast cancer in March.

She received fantastic care at home and in the last few weeks of her life in her local hospice. It made us realise how important these services are to patients and their families and that without constant fundraising they would not exist.

We know people are inundated with requests for sponsorship these days but any small amount you can spare would make a HUGE difference.

Many thanks

Sue , Al , Mel and Jenny x
