Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
On Sunday 5th October Sue & Jonathan successfully completed the 13.1-mile route of the Great North Run from Newcastle to South Shields. Jonathan had a great run, finishing in a speedy 1h 39m and Sue was right there behind him (well, almost) crossing the line in 2h 09m.
Our aim was to raise valuable funds for the Preston-based Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The original target was £400, but having already exceeded this we think we can do better, so we have raised the bar to £800.
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is a charity close to our hearts since last year when Sue's sister Carole was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to Rosemere, Carole was able to have radiotherapy treatment in Preston and is now back to full health and has returned to work.
Over 4,000 cancer patients from across Lancashire and South Cumbria attend the Rosemere Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital for lifesaving radiotherapy treatment each year.
Please help us to raise money so that others like Carole can benefit from the fantastic treatment and immense support that the Rosemere Cancer Centre provides.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rosemere Cancer Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks to all of our generous sponsors, both on and offline. There is still time to add your donation so if you haven't already done so, please sponsor us now!
Thank you!
