Sue and Peters Coast to Coast
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
Sue and Peter are undertaking a three day gruelling 140 miles trip from one side of Britain to the other side of Britian.
In the early morning hours of Friday 29th May they depart from Whitehaven travelling slowly 60 miles uphill to Penrith where they will spend one night.
On the Saturday morning after refuelling for the day they depart Penrith and travel up a 45 mile steep climb and reach heights of over 1800 feet to finish in the Peaks - no doubt tired and worn out.
On the final day after battling the pain barrier they cruise downhill to Sunderland where I will be picking them up and escorting there tired and sore legs back home for a nice cup of cocco or tea, probably something much stronger after completing the 140 mile trip!
Sue and Peter are doing the coast to coast for Macmillan Cancer Support as the Harte family lost a wonderful Dad,Grandad & brother to cancer last July and without the Macmillan Nurses the whole family would of been lost.
Sues Sister, Julie recently lost her husband to one of the most aggressives cancers and she will be supporting on the saturday. Again the Macmillan Cancer Support where there to offer support and help for her and the three children all young.
Macmillan Cancer Support does not receive any goverment funding for the worthy and kind hearted work they do so Sue and Peter are asking you to give kindly so that the nurses work can continue.
