To mark the 21st and raise money for the charity, Pamela Chapman-Burrell and I walked the length of the Thames Path last spring from the source of the at Kemble in the Cotswolds, to the Barrier at Woolwich, a distance of 184 miles! Along the way we paused to paint, sketch and take photographs. And we were joined by many friends who shared in our journey. To date we have raised over £4,000 for the River Thames Boat Project and have assembled a fine collection of work.

We're now holding Drawn by the River - an exhibition which takes place on 11, 12, and 13 September at , Froebel College School of Education, Lulham Building Room 050, a record of our walk to share with others and to raise even more money for the Boat Project.

It's a fantastic charity that does innovative work on the Thames with children, young people and people of all ages with a disability, so please donate as much as you can!  You can also read our blog about the walk at http://rvcaptainsblog.blogspot.com.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us.  The River Thames Boat Project gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure that 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please make a donation, Pamela and I know that the River Thames Boat Project would really appreciate your support - thank you!
