D'Angibau 10 Peak Challenge · 20 February 2009

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is an independent local Dorset charity providing extraordinary care to people and their loved ones facing a life-limiting illness. We support over 1000 patients and families every year in their homes, virtually, and at our hubs across Dorset and West Hampshire.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am part of a team of 10 from D'Angibau LLP who plan to tackle 10 peaks in the Lake District (including Bow Fell, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Haystacks) in 12 hours!  The challenge will take place on 19th September 2009 and we are all training hard (ish).  All the money raised will go to the Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole.

We have just come back from Wales, a weekend spent training in the Brecon Beacons.  It was very wet, very windy and very foggy!  We were all soaked but this did not dampen our spirits.  The walk took 9 1/2 hours and we managed 23km, a total ascent of £1570m and a total descent of 1570m.  We learned that having socks full of water prevents blisters and that the best time to put on your waterproofs is before you get wet!  We are all looking forward to the challenge itself and with only 4 weeks to go are trying very hard to increase our sponsorship.  It's not too late and we would be so grateful, as would Lewis Manning Hospice.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lewis-Manning Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
