Grief it's hot! Training is hard in this weather. Rest day today, thank goodness, but only managed just over 2K yesterday and I felt like death after it. Please let it not be like this on the day, otherwise I will expire! Please please help me reach my target for this very worthy cause.

Woo Hoo! 5K today ... took me 62 minutes though and it was HOT! Felt very tired, but good after it. Now need to work on building my speed up. Power walking technique is coming together at last. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and those who have pledged.

2K stroll with Max (my 3 year old son) today. Not very energetic, but a walk at least. Should get a decent training session in tomorrow.

Not been here for a while. Training been a little slower this past couple of weeks as I have had sore shins. Been doing a lot of swimming, but back to pounding the streets tomorrow. Not long to go now!

Well I did it, in a PB time as well ... 47 minutes, only half an hour behind Sonia O'Sullivan! but not last (and according to Neil who was counting, 31st of all the other Alzheimers runners). Didn't hit a brick wall as I have done in the past, so the little bit of training has paid off. Now to get down to the serious stuff of preparing for next years moonwalk, with maybe a 10k in between. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far. Hopefully the sponsorship money will keep on coming in for a bit longer. Will update photo later.
Thanks again

No photos of the event as the new camera batteries we bought were duds. So the photo is taken later in the day.
