East London Chorus is an amateur choir based in Docklands, studying and performing classical choral works, from established favourites to new works from contemporary British composers. Additionally, it raises funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK in aid of breast cancer, allowing audiences to enjoy its concerts whilst supporting an exceptionally worthwhile cause.

Story

Hello Everyone,
I'm doing the East London Chorus's "Sing for Life" London Landmarks Walk on 8 June.  You can see a picture of me on last year's walk - I'm the odd one out with pink trousers rather than tee shirt.

Last year I exceeded my initial target  and I'm hoping to do better this year.  Please dig deep and sponsor me online to raise funds for two of my favorite charities: East London Chorus and Cancer Research UK.  Both are dear to my heart for different reasons.

As some of you will know, my sister Madeleine is a breast cancer survivor and has also more recently survived cancer of the womb.  I'm sure that this is in part due to her determination and fighting spirit but Madeleine rightly says that it is thanks to cancer research that she is now alive and well whereas 20 years ago she would almost certainly not be.

East London Chorus produces superb choral music and has helped me keep my sanity over the last 29 years (no small feat!). Producing high quality concerts is an expensive business and we need to raise funds to allow us to continue producing a high standard of music.

Your donation will support life-saving research into breast cancer and help support East London Chorus's concert plans for the next season.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks,

Sue Davis
