Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

As many of you know, my 18 year old son, Richard, has Cystic Fibrosis. 2006 was by far the worst year he has ever had health wise culminating in a pneumothorax at Christmas time that required 3 chest drains, surgery and a further 2 chest drains post surgery. His courage and determination completely floors me sometimes!

As he gripped my hand whilst the second chest drain of Christmas Day went through his chest wall, I vowed to try to raise funds for the CF Trust somehow this year. So this was how I did it  - the Yorkshire 10K at Newby Hall!

Having never run before in my life it certainly was a challenge to say the least! Undulating, grassy and extremely uneven ground with plenty of cow pats! It was sunny and very warm and now and again a flock of sheep joined in - usually right across my path! I kept to plan though and went at my own steady pace and didn't come last
