My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
JUST WALK 60KM, 7th MAY 2011.
Yep, mad as ever, i'm signed up for a 'mere' 60k stroll around Sussex!! I'm aiming for a record target this year of £2000 for Parkinson's UK. That should be about £200 for each hour i'll be walking!
Parkinson's UK is a charity close to my heart, since my husband Chris has been diagnosed with it for 6 years now, since the age of 36
.
He's ever-positive and his determination to carry on with life as 'normal' is what inspires me to keep on walking....my sore feet and legs will get better....There's no chance of Chris getting better with Parkinson's, as it is a progressive disease and there is still NO CURE.
He struggles with so many everyday chores, but yet remains positive and doesn't give in. So no matter how long it takes me to do this 60k, I won't give in either.
JUST WALK is a fantastic event organised by Across The Divide and the event consists of 10k,20k,40, or 60k routes, so there's something to suit everyone... and it's for ANY charity of your choice! SO YOU CAN SIGN UP TOO- no excuses!! http://www.just-walk.co.uk. .....Even my Mum Margaret will be walking along side me every step of the way for the full 60k.
