Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing specialist, palliative care and support to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and ultimately end of life care.

Story

Hi folks!

I am enjoying my time with Rosie who’ll be one in May.

Through having a baby I have made loads of new friends in Northwich – one called Ali, who had a baby called Matthew.

Ali was diagnosed with breast cancer last September and since then she began a big fight against it. Unfortunately it spread and Ali died on February 10th 2008.

Ali was cared for at St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford before she died, where she had an opportunity to chill out & spend relaxing time with her family.

Ali was just like me, a new mum learning to look after a lovely new baby. I miss Ali very much and in her memory I’m going to do The Midnight Walk, to raise money for the hospice. It’s a half marathon walk at midnight on Saturday 28th June 2008.

If you’d like to sponsor me, please fill in the just giving form. Thanks a lot.

With kind regards,       Sue Holmes
