Story
On 30th October I will be running the Snowdonia Marathon (www.snowdoniamarathon.com) in aid of Care for Casualties, an appeal launched by The Rifles, which aims to initially raise at least £1million during 2010.
Since February 2007, Rifles battalions have been deployed almost continually on operations, the intensity and ferocity of which has cost the lives of 54 Riflemen Killed in Action with a further 290 seriously injured. Of these, in excess of 40 have sustained life changing physical injuries which will require long term assistance. It is with this in mind that the Care for Casualties Appeal has been launched.
