In May this year I am travelling to Everest Base camp in the Himalayas. As well as fulfilling a lifetime ambition I want to use the trip to raise awareness and funds for a very important local charity. Liverpool Sunflowers Cancer Care Group provide support to families affected by cancer. Last year this was a vital lifeline for my family. We are also preparing a special expedition T-shirt for the trip, everyone who sponsors £25 or more will have their name automatically added to the shirt - which will then travel all the way to Base Camp!
