Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be. Your donation will help vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.

Story

For some unknown reason, I have agreed to swim across Taiwans biggest lake ... The Sun Moon Lake. The lake is 3.3 km from shore to shore and I plan to swim non stop freestyle. My target time is 70 minutes, but, having never swum so far in deep water among thousands of fellow swimmers, I have no idea how long it will take.

I have decided that this is a great chance to raise money for a good cause and have chosen Save the Children, a UK based charity that works hard for the good of disadvantaged children around the world.

Please sponsor me as much as you are comfortable to offer, either as a lump sum or per kilometer swum non stop freestyle (trust me), or if cruel on a time basis. Up to you

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save The Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
