Story

Hey, give me some cash for kids that need it.

NEW ADDED INCENTIVE FOR MORE DONATIONS- To the person that donates the most cash, I'll be giving a free top of the range music phone - the Samsung Beat DJ! It's powered by Bang and Olufsen audio technology, and I can vouch that is sounds amazing over long periods of time. So - giving me money is not only good for the soul, but you can get a free phone worth a lot of cash. Simples!

Anyway, back to the original words:

I'm doing the necessary things - I'm running the Sony Ericsson Run To The Beat half marathon on 30 September, then will be doing it all again a fortnight later on 11 October for the Royal Parks Foundation half marathon again.

On top of that, I'm also aiming to run on the Nike Human race 10k at the end of October as well - so all in all that's over 50k in under a month.

You might be thinking 'WOW, he's super fit. Surely he should be doing proper charity runs like that Marathon thing in London?'

Well, you'd be wrong. I don't do running at all, especially not long distances. In school the best I managed was 32nd out of 72 in cross country... and that was something I was fantastically proud of. (and still am - in your FACE James McSheffery).

So I've been training hard to just complete the distance - it's hurt a lot, I've damaged ligaments (and recovered) on the way... and I've even given up alkyhol for nearly three months. That hurts more than the ligament thing.

So please, please, please chuck me a quid or two (or more if you're that way inclined - God is watching don't forget) and it goes to a truly worthy charity which is making a vital difference to children with cerebral palsy every single day.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Have just finished the first half marathon - in a so-so time of 2 hours 10 minutes. I think there's more to come from me for the next two races - but I need the cash to make me believe. So give me money - I'll run faster for every quid. And don't forget - free phone if you donate properly-like.
