Story
Hello!
My name is Lewis Hine and I am 5 Years old. On October 21st 2006 over 40 children aged 8 and under will be taking to the streets of Southsea, Portsmouth to complete the Mini Great South Run. Not only will they be taking on the 3/4 of a mile challenge but they will also be doing it in Fancy Dress!!! Yes 40 little superheros will be running to raise money for the Charity "Smile4Rich".
So why have I organised this event? Well....4 years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I also suffer from Hydrocephalus (water on the brain). The only reason I am here today is because of the amazing treatment I received at the Childrens Neurosurgery Ward, at the Wessex Neurological Centre, at Southampton General Hospital. The Doctors and Nurses there are fantastic and I want to help them help other children, So I continually fundraise for them and have set up Lewis' Mini Superheroes!!!
I am a very lucky person and have fantastic friends and family who support me and are all joining in on this big fundraiser. This is our fundrsising page everyone of us is a true superhero so please dig deep and support us!!!
Together we are raising money for the Smile4Rich Video Telemetry Appeal. The new Video Telemetry Suite will help children who suffer from Epilepsy and will dramatically change the lifes of around 40 children a year!!
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Smile4Rich will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
