We are nine sisters from Northern Ireland who have come together, from three continents, to run the Flora London Marathon 2005 in support of Childhood First. We enjoyed a happy and loving childhood and were drawn to run the London Marathon on behalf of this small children's charity in order to help children less fortunate than ourselves.
Childhood First, (Patron, the Right Honourable Lord Woolf, the Lord Chief Justice), aims to relieve the suffering of abused, neglected and disturbed children and young people through intense therapeutic programmes of integrated care, treatment and education in both residential and outreach projects. We want to play our part in helping provide them with the skills and self-confidence they need to move into the wider community with a sense of purpose and self-respect; put their troubled pasts behind them and go on to lead successful, productive and happy lives.

POST MARATHON
On behalf of all the girls can I extend a huge thank-you to every person who has taken the time to visit our site. We are simply blown away by the generosity extended and elated that we have reached our target.
The marathon was an unforgettable experience a roller coaster of emotions, humbling and euphoric in equal measure.
The day was glorious, support from start to finish inspiring.
Earlier this year injury forced some of us to reconsider our times,it is hard to be as competitive as we are and accept that we are not going to present a major challenge to Paula Ratcliffe!!
Children whose lives are unimaginable inspired every lonely, cold mile covered this winter. .
We know, what we and all of you have done will change lives.
Thankyou

No contribution is too small, so please help us now.....
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Childhood First will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
You may support us as a team or individually by mentioning the sister of your choice when you make your donation (sibling rivalry!!)
Thank you so much for visiting our website. Please join us in making a difference to the lives of these children by supporting us in our Marathon run, and, through us, Childhood First.
