Welcome to Calder High’s Supply Chain page

For the second year running, a very motivated and enthusiastic bunch of volunteers from Calder High School took on the challenge of working in an impoverished community in Kampala, Uganda.

The volunteers identified, with the help of our expert partner and The Great Generation, a few small things that can make the world of difference to the slum community.

 Being back in the UK, they continue to support and promote ‘their sister-community’ by asking people to make donations through The Great Generation Supply Chain (this page).

 We invite YOU to build on the solid foundations already laid and nurture this community so they may grow and become independent by donating to the Supply Chain.

 

What is The Great Generation Supply Chain?

The Supply Chain is a unique way for our volunteers to become ambassadors for the local communities whom they have lived and worked with during their project.

The Supply Chain items which are identified by the project team are advertised on our website. Individuals can donate through this JustGiving page with the knowledge that these items have been identified by the volunteers and that the money will go directly to the community for that purpose.

The Supply Chain is a great initiative and gives donors the opportunity to make a big difference to the everyday lives of local people in these communities.

 
£18.00 will pay for a child's primary school fees

£53.00 will pay for a child’s secondary school fees

£11.00 will contribute towards food support for a child in school

£7.00 will provide a large family with soap for a year

£41 will support a child with a complete primary school package

£94.00 will support a child with a complete secondary school package

NB: A complete school package includes school fees, school uniform, stationary and food support
