Story
Thanks to the incredible dedication of the Newstead community, £5,181.98 has already been raised funding two new public defibrillators now installed at McColl’s and the Landau Enterprise & Training Centre. These devices are already helping to make Newstead a safer place for everyone.
The community has also now taken over responsibility for the public defibrillator at The Cuckoo, ensuring that all three devices are maintained, rescue-ready, and available 24/7 in an emergency.
Why We’re Fundraising
Defibrillators save lives, but only if they are properly maintained. Pads and batteries need regular replacing, and cabinets require upkeep so they’re always ready when seconds matter.
Newstead’s community is now fundraising to cover the ongoing costs of maintaining all three public defibrillators. Every donation, big or small, helps ensure that these lifesaving devices remain available to support residents and visitors in an emergency.
Your Support Matters
By donating, you are helping protect the people of Newstead. You are strengthening a community that has already worked so hard to make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far and thank you in advance to those who will help keep this incredible community effort going. Together, we can help save lives.
