We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We are getting ready for the biggest challenge of our lives, on September 5th 2007 we will be trekking the Avenue of Volancoes in Ecuador with a view to climbing the highest volcano in the world - Mt Cotopaxi (5897 meters) where much of the final climb on its glaciers.  We will actually be climbing a number of volcanoes and walking for 9 days!  9 days!!

"I am sixty three years old and have been patient with diabetes for the past twelve years, I have not let it get in the way of doing things I want do and it certainly is not preventing me from taking part in this amazing challenge. In October 2005 I successfully completed the trek to Everest Base Camp together with 26 others, seven of us were patients with diabetes."

-Surjeet Soin

.

"This is probably the toughest challenge I'm ever likely to do.  Fortunately Surjeet is an excellent trekker and will motivate me to get to the top."

-Ramon Marett
