UPDATE: tHE RACE HAS BEEN COMPLETED HOWEVER SPONSERS WOULD STILL BE WELCOMED On the 7th Sept 2008 i will be under-taking the task of the london adidas womens 5k challenge at hyde park. I am not a runner, cycalist or at all athletic in nature, therefore this is going to be a personnal milestone! I will be completing the run in aid of 'Surrey SANDS' (Stillbirth And Neonatal Death charity). SANDS are a national organisation and registered charity, set up to support parents and families of babies who have died during pregnancy or soon after birth. Surrey SANDS is a self funded sub-section of the national charity. I was introduced to the charity when my son, Ewan was stillborn in May 2006 at Epsom hospital, hence i wish to support my local SANDS. Surrey Sands Group is run entirely by volunteers, all bereaved parents themselves and offering a variety of support services. All monies donated will be used to provide these services in the Surrey area. If you’re a UK taxpayer, 'justgiving' reclaim an extra 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, for SANDS charity at no extra cost on your donation, So please tick the appropriate box.
