Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page is dedicated to the memory of our lovely Jonathan who sadly passed away in April 2010. His death was unexpected and probably could have been avoided, had we been aware that Jonathan suffered with an undetected cardiac condition. Losing Jonathan has  devastated our family and his friends, and left a huge void in all our lives. We will never get over this loss, but we can try and make something positive come out of this tragedy.

I am trying to raise money on behalf of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and hope you will be able to contribute to this worthy cause. They offer screening, support and ongoing research into understanding and trying to reduce numbers of families affected (as well as supporting those who are)...the statistics are shocking With 12 young sudden deaths a week.
