In January this year I made a new years resolution to raise £1,000 for Andrea's Gift by running the Great North Run. (Just incase you are wondering thats me in the red hoodie with the the slogan 'come to your senses' in Disneyland - what more can I say!!!!)  On James Toselands birthday, 5th October I crossed the finish line for the Great North Run and I had a ball along the 13.1 mile route!!! Most importantly with gift aid, matched funds from my employer and your donations raised £1,200 for Andreas Gift.  I really appeciate your donations the charity means a lot to my family as we are fighting a brain tumour diagnosis.

In Leeds alone over 600 adults are newly diagnosed with brain tumours each year, sadly around 20% of patients are diagnosed with the most agressive tumours and will die in 12 months. 

Andrea's Gift is co-funding the development of a brain tumour research facility aiming to develop novel brain tumour treatments, looking at tumour cells affecting both adults and children.  Andrea's Gift also provide vital support to brain tumour patients and their families living with the devasting effects of a brain tumour diagnosis.  They also provide vital funds to help ease the financial burden that often occurs with a terminal diagnosis.
