Scottish Huntington's Association supports families impacted by Huntington’s disease (HD). 800 people in Scotland have HD with a further 3200 at risk of developing it in the future. HD impacts the ability to walk, talk and swallow, can cause mental illness and affects mood, memory and mobility.

Story

Hi there

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

Stephen gave me a present of a Skydive (I think there was an ulterior motive .....!) and I'm using the occasion to raise funds for Huntingtons Disease.    Our brother in law Stewart is unfortunately a victim of the disease and I've been horrified at the stories he tells of having to lobby MPs in order to maintain basic nursing care.   HD is a devasting illness so I hope you will donate generously.   I realise that it is the Scottish branch of the Huntingtons Association however this is solely because Stewart lives in Kilmarnock.

There's lots of worthy charities that I could have chosen, Cancer Research in particular given the suffering that we've evidenced through Stephen's mum, our very good friend Bobby and Colin's Dad.   I feel however that they have a lot more visibility (thank goodness!) than Huntingtons so I hope everyone will understand .....

Hope you can help.

Love and best wishes anyway

Susan
