When will I learn ???? By now you would think that I would know that my spur of the moment conversations /actions have a habit of coming back and biting me but oh no, I just keep doing it.  So this time that conversation over several glasses / bottles of wine resulted in myself and some of my friends applying to run the London marathon !!

If I am completely honest, when I applied for a place I really wanted to run for bowel cancer, in memory of my mum, as that is what she died of 4.5 years ago. Sometimes however, things don't always work out the way you want.  I was not able to secure a place with a bowel cancer charity but I have been fortunate enough to be picked by Hertfordhsire Community Foundation to run on their behalf.  St Albans has now been my home for over 15 years and Keith and I live a great life in a wonderful city surrounded by fantastic friends.  Not everyone who lives in Hertfordshire is as lucky as we are so I am delighted to be running and raising funds to help other less fortunate people in our county.
