Story

On July 10th I shall be joining 2009 other riders to take part in the Horses 4 Heroes ride; this is a sponsored ride around Windsor Great Park ending up the finishing straight of Ascot Race Course. The aim is to raise money for Help for Heroes, an excellent charity that does so much to help injured servicemen and women. Not only has it funded the rebuilding of the Headley Court Complex, it also gives financial support to Combat Stress, SAAFA, and the Pathway Recovery Centre amongst many others. The ride is being led by prominent personalties associated with equestrianism, among them Guy Disney, a Light Dragoon (Richard's old regiment) who lost a leg in Afghanistan but is still aspiring to pursue his racing career. It should also be fun, a chance to ride in Windsor Great Park, although with 2010 riders the final bit up the finishing straight may resemble a cavalry charge...

I know that I am very lucky that Brad returned from all his tours intact but so many have not, and will not  so our continued support is needed.
