I am taking part in The Sleep Walk on 9th July 2011 to help raise funds for Rowcroft Hospice. The Sleep Walk is a five or ten mile sponsored night walk (in pyjamas!) which my baby bump and I are taking part in, in support of my best friend Charlotte and in remembrance of her mum Jackie who passed away after suffering from lung cancer last year. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">The time from Jackie's diagnosis to her death was just one month and one day and was an excruciatingly painful time for both her and her family. Her final days were spent at Rowcroft Hospice, where she was able to receive a high standard of care, pain relief and some dignity in dying, enabling Jackie and her family to make the most of their precious final moments together. Less than one third of Rowcroft’s costs come from the NHS.
