Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I know I said I would never do it again, but here I am training hard in the ice and rain, I can't decide am I brave or stupid!! I am going to run the Flora London Marathon 2009 and I have chosen to raise money for SeeAbility, which does fantastic work in improving the lives of blind and partially sighted people. With the help of SeeAbility we can offer them the gift of independance like learning to communicate verbally, making a cup of tea unassisted or even crossing the street. When I think of all of the training and the pain of running 26.2 miles, I now just think how lucky I am and how wonderful it would be to relieve just a little pain from others who really need it.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SeeAbility - The Royal School for the Blind gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
