Hattie, the beautiful horse pictured above, was one of the HAC Light Cavalry horses, and indeed in the photo above, she is the Commander's Horse, leading the parade.

Unfortunately, she became lame and was no longer fit for duty but, after a year of close care and attention from a wonderful horseman, Bernie McGarrigle, she has become sound again. I know that Hattie will be proud to raise money to help wounded servicemen and women with their recovery - she understands first hand how debilitating and sad it is to suffer an injury and then be unable to carry on with one's usual duties.
